The football rivalry between the Westerly, RI High School Bulldogs and the Stonington, CT High School Bears began in 1911 and is among the oldest high school football rivalries in the United States, with no two high school football teams having played more games against each other. The Westerly vs. Stonington football game is held annually on Thanksgiving morning.
