Lowell Holly Reservation is a 135-acre nature reserve in Mashpee and Sandwich, Massachusetts, managed by the Trustees of Reservations. Between Mashpee Pond and Wakeby Pond, its two peninsular knolls create a distinctive pond-edge landscape. The property is closely associated with A. Lawrence Lowell and Wilfred Wheeler, who extensively planted holly trees, rhododendrons, and mountain laurel, giving the reserve both its name and much of its cultivated woodland character. About 4 miles of hiking trails pass through the interior plantings and reach shoreline outlooks. Lowell left the land to the Trustees of Reservations in 1943, and it remains protected as a managed natural area.
