Built in 1812, the Judge Wood House was the home of Judge Walter Wood, a co-founder of Cayuga Academy in 1801 and the first judge of Cayuga County from 1810 to 1817. While living here from 1819 to 1821, Millard Fillmore studied law under Wood.
