The 901 First Street Building, built in 1900, is a significant part of the Snohomish Historic District's First Street architectural heritage. Its historic features were preserved and restored, and additions were designed to complement the original structure while maintaining the historic streetscape and the mixed use of a storefront business with residences on the second floor. In the late 1930s, the building housed Edwards Confectionary, featuring Snohomish's own K & K Ice Cream, and also served as the Stage Depot for local bus service. It stood along First Street as annual Memorial Day parades marched east past it.
