The Scott County Confederate Memorial was dedicated to the Confederate soldiers of Scott County by the Sons of Confederate Veterans, honoring their acts of patriotism, bravery, and courage for Virginia and the Confederacy, with the C.S.A. motto “Deo Vindice,” and was erected on October 16, 1988, by John S. Mosby Camp #1409.
