Ronil Singh was born in Navua, Fiji Islands, on April 6, 1985, and legally migrated to the United States with the dream of becoming a law enforcement officer. In September 2011, he earned the badge with the Newman Police Department. A loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, he was killed on December 26, 2018, while conducting a routine traffic stop on a suspected drunk driver.
