Erected in 1910 as the Bank of Webster, this building is locally significant in architecture as a very superior example among a limited number of historic commercial buildings in Webster Parish. Its principal architectural feature is a monumental distyle in antis Ionic facade, culminating in a classically shaped parapet with a central bas-relief eagle inscribed in a wreath. It is the only building in Webster Parish to feature high-style neoclassical articulation, and the only commercial building there to use freestanding columns and a full entablature. Renovation and occupancy came in 2001, with McInnis Brothers Construction, Inc. as contractor and Ballard and Associates, Inc. as architect.
