Soldier Cap Mound is a summit in Saline County, Kansas, rising to 1,473 feet. Ranked as the forty-eighth highest summit in the state, it is notable both for its elevation and for the origin of its name. The hill was named for its shape, which was thought to resemble a soldier’s headdress.
