Walter's Mill Bridge in Somerset Township, Pennsylvania, spans Haupt's Run and dates to 1830. It is one of the few covered bridges still surviving in Somerset County, making it an important remnant of the county's early transportation landscape. The bridge is a 60-foot Burr truss with vertical plank siding and a tin-covered gable roof, characteristic of practical covered-bridge building of its time. Its continued preservation has underscored its historical value, and it gained formal recognition when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
