This hydraulic giant was used for gold mining from 1890 to 1906. It was cast by Joshua Hendy Iron Works and operated for years at Red Mill Mine near the mouth of Know Nothing Creek, with a nearly 500 foot head of water. It was packed to the mine by the Bennett Co. pack train and was donated by Nelson Bennett.
