Hebron Methodist-Protestant Church and Cemetery is a small country church located 2.5 miles west of Georgetown on the south side of Rt 404 and 6 miles east of Coverdale Crossroads. John H. Day and his wife, Mariah L. Day, gave the land for a place of worship for the sum of $25.00, and the parcel was a small part of their farm. The church was organized on April 16th 1888 at 2 o'clock in a school known as 54# King School. The trustees named were Cyrus Legates, David Wilson, William King, John H. Day, and William H. Wilson. The church was built Oct. 24, 1888 and deeded to the trustees, and as trustees died, others were named to continue the upkeep and maintenance. Those active in building the church were John H. Day, Theophilus Swain, John King, John W. Wingate, H.B. Miles, Thomas King, Pete King, Stockley West, Robert West, and George West. The first settled clergyman was Rev. Franklin H. Mullineaux in 1888-1889, and the church was listed in the 2015 National Register of Historic Places.
