The Train Collectors Association is an international nonprofit devoted to collecting and operating toy trains and railroad memorabilia. Founded in October 1954 in Yardley, Pennsylvania, and now based in Strasburg, it operates the National Toy Train Museum and National Toy Train Library. Its members collect trains in many gauges and from a wide range of past and present manufacturers, linking the hobby to design, manufacturing, and American consumer history. The association has also shaped the field through widely used standards for grading condition and authenticity, and it supports collectors through publications, educational outreach, local meets, and the major twice-yearly York Train Meet in Pennsylvania.
