In 1992, Coffey County Veterans Memorial Park was dedicated to the veterans of Coffey County, living and dead, who gave their time and, in some cases, their lives in support of the freedom and liberty for which the United States of America and Coffey County, Kansas stand. It pledges that the memory of their service will not be forgotten, misunderstood, or ignored, and it especially honors the county’s dead from World War I and World War II, as well as Floyd H. Robinson of Coffey County, listed as missing in action in Vietnam on March 12, 1969.
