Mitchell Hill Advent Christian Church was organized on December 17, 1885 by Elders J.A. Cargile and J.S. Dubose. The building burned and was rebuilt at the present site of Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church. One of the ten charter members, Mrs. Fannie Spearman Mitchell, is buried in this cemetery.
