Valley Pike Covered Bridge was a short rural covered road bridge in Mason County, Kentucky, spanning the Frasure Branch of Lee Creek and serving nearby farmland. Built as a single kingpost truss on stone abutments, it embodied the practical design of many nineteenth-century Kentucky covered bridges, whose roofs and siding kept roadways drier and, more importantly, protected timber joints, trusses, and braces from water damage and rot. With its tin roof and siding and a length of about 30 to 35 feet, it was especially notable as Kentucky’s only privately owned covered bridge. Its rarity and historical importance brought National Register listing in 1976, before flood damage led to its dismantling in 2018.
