The Korean War, often called “The Forgotten War,” lasted from June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953, during which 36,574 were killed in action, 103,284 were wounded in action, and 8,025 were missing in action. It honors and remembers those who served and sacrificed to promote freedom for all, men and women who went to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met, affirming that freedom is not free.
