Odgers Drilling Company donated this diamond drill, which dates to 1922-1968. It is one of two complete diamond drills surviving today, with the second located in Australia. These drills were used to explore ore bodies by bringing up tubes of sample ore for analysis of mineral content, allowing the size and depth of an ore body to be determined from the sample.
