Ray Township District No. 1 School
Education
In 1863, farmers in the Ray area built what became popularly known as Mill School. Kindergarten through eighth grade students attended school here until 1953, when the district consolidated with Romeo School District and transferred the property to the township. For many years, the building hosted elections and community meetings. In 1983, the simple Greek Revival style school became the Ray Township Library.
