Hostile Creeks attacked Andrew Jackson as he withdrew to Ft. Strother on Jan. 24, 1814. His troops broke through their lines and continued on to Ft. Strother, but the Creeks boasted that they had defeated 'Capt. Jack' and driven him to the Coosa.
