Green River State Park sits on the west bank of the Green River in the town of Green River, Utah, and is closely connected to the river that also names the town. The park offers easy river access and shaded recreation areas, including a nine-hole golf course, a cottonwood-shaded campground, and a boat ramp. It is especially important as a launch point for float trips into Labyrinth and Stillwater canyons, opening access to long stretches of quieter desert river travel. The river also gives the park ecological significance, as it supports sport fish as well as four protected native species threatened with extinction.
