Slater Mill was America's first successful water-powered cotton spinning mill. Samuel Slater and local craftsmen created machines that spun cotton into thread. The Wilkinson machine shop and a working water wheel are part of the site, and the Sylvanus Brown House shows what domestic life was like in the late 1700s.
