Ronald B. Gibson, a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1957, was born on July 31, 1935, and was lost at sea in the Atlantic Ocean aboard a C-118A Liftmaster on January 26, 1961. Beech trees honor his memory.
