Pugh's Mill Covered Bridge
Transportation
Pugh's Mill Covered Bridge near Oxford, Ohio, spans Four Mile, also called Talawanda Creek, and survives as a rare example of the county's nineteenth-century covered bridges. Built in 1869, it is one of only two such bridges still remaining in Butler County, alongside the nearby Bebb Park, or State Line, Covered Bridge of 1868. Its preservation reflects both the endurance of a historic wooden structure and the scarcity of covered bridges in the county. Recognition of its importance came with its listing on the National Register of Historic Places on June 5, 1975.
