Sanilac County honored the men and women of the county who answered their country's call in the World War of 1914 - 1918, naming hundreds of individuals from the county, including nurses Ethel Henry, Esther Hillock, Myrle Macklem, Aleta E. Manning, Elba Morse, Mabel Ragan, and Katherine Sheeny.
