St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park lies about three miles north of Fellsmere in Indian River and Brevard counties. Centered on protecting the natural surroundings of the St. Sebastian River, it serves both as a public park and as a protected river landscape. Its co-management by Florida State Parks and the St. Johns River Water Management District reflects that dual role. The preserve is also associated with the Hernández–Capron Trail, connecting the area to one of the historic routes through this part of Florida.
