Richard K. Yancey Wildlife Management Area is a major protected river-bottom landscape in lower Concordia Parish, Louisiana, between the Red and Mississippi rivers. Owned by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, it includes swamps, lakes, bayous, and bottomland forest that support deer, turkey, waterfowl, furbearers, and many fish species. Public hunting, fishing, and an annual alligator lottery reflect its wetland character and recreational importance. Formed by consolidating earlier protected lands, including the former Three Rivers Wildlife Management Area, it was renamed for Richard K. Yancey, a longtime Louisiana wildlife official closely tied to waterfowl conservation.
