Halliehurst Hall was the home of Stephen Benton Elkins, 1841 - 1911, Secretary of War from 1891 - 1893 and United States Senator from 1895 - 1911, and of Davis Elkins, 1876 - 1959, United States Senator from 1919 - 1925.
