Buttercup Mountain is a 9,079-foot peak in Idaho’s Smoky Mountains within Sawtooth National Forest. Straddling the Blaine-Camas county line, it rises between the Willow Creek and Deer Creek watersheds. The summit stands about 5.75 miles northwest of Kelly Mountain and 8.3 miles southeast of Dollarhide Mountain. With no roads or trails leading to its top, the mountain is distinguished by its isolation and remote setting.
