3
Around 1925, Jim R. Williams and his son, Charlie Oliver Williams, built this granite building with an embossed tin ceiling inside. During the 1930's, it served as a gas station and trailer rental service. It was later sold for use as a liquor store, then purchased back by Mr. Williams, who continued operating it as a liquor store. Jean Whitson and Ruth Jobson, Charlie Williams' daughters, remembered waiting out hurricanes in the structure when they were small children.
