This H.K. Porter locomotive, a 0-4-0 tank engine, was built by H.K. Porter Co. in Pittsburg, Pa., in 1927 and weighed 21 tons. Its owners included J.C. White Eng. Co. in Mex. City, Mex., an unknown Lbr. Co. in Louisiana, Alcoa in Bauxite, Ark., Ark. Lime Co. in Batesville, Ark., and the City of Batesville, Ark., to which it was donated in 1960. Its restoration was done through private donations by a restoration committee led by chairman George E. Bentz, with Chris Bolin and Mike Schmidt.
