The Clark County Historical Society's 1897 Jail Museum was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior on December 8, 1978, this property is also listed in the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places, and the Clark County Jail has been recognized as a Historic Landmark by the Neillsville Historic Preservation Commission.
