The McLendon Building housed Klein's Dry Good Store, the Guess 5&10 Cent Store from 1935 to 1956, and Hines Youth Shop from 1982 to 1995. P.A. McLendon was the owner, and Claude and Hildred Hines were owners from 1981 to the present. It was designated as a Landmark Building on April 20, 1998.
