Crown Hill Park is a 242-acre regional park in Jefferson County, Colorado, between Wheat Ridge and Lakewood, where recreation and wildlife habitat meet in a developed part of the Denver metro area. Its land reflects an agricultural past tied to irrigation and market gardening, especially through Henry Lee, an Iowa-born pioneer who arrived in Denver in 1864 and became an influential farmer, businessman, legislator, and advocate for parks and irrigation. Part of the park came from Lee family land later sold for Crown Hill Cemetery. Today, trails, picnic and equestrian facilities, and wetlands support both public use and urban wildlife, including waterfowl, raptors, beaver, and coyote.
