Beginning in 1931, Midvalley students attended school in Cedar City, but the school bus only came as far as Fiddlers Canyon, about five miles away. Owen Matheson and Millard Halterman took turns taking students to meet the bus in their horse-drawn wagons and sleighs, then later in the day turned around to bring them home in time for evening chores.
