Nauset Light, officially Nauset Beach Light, is a restored lighthouse on the Cape Cod National Seashore near Eastham, Massachusetts. Though established there in 1923, the 48-foot cast-iron and brick tower was first built in 1877 as one of the Chatham lights and moved to replace the decommissioned Three Sisters of Nauset. Automated in 1955, it remains an active private aid to navigation, while its original Fresnel lens is preserved at the Salt Pond Visitor Center. Threatened by severe coastal erosion in the 1990s, the lighthouse, oil house, and later the keeper’s house were moved inland through preservation efforts, helping secure its place as an enduring symbol of Cape Cod.
