Florida National Forest was a short-lived federal forest administrative unit in Florida, created by the U.S. Forest Service on July 1, 1911, by merging Ocala National Forest and Choctawhatchee National Forest into a single tract of 674,970 acres. It remained in place under that name until 1927, when the Ocala Division was split off on October 17 to reestablish Ocala National Forest, and the rest was renamed Choctawhatchee National Forest on November 10. The name marks a brief period in the evolution of federal forest management in Florida.
