5
In 2015 Gerald and Joyce Wehner donated the school bell now placed at Adolphus Kraemer Park. The bell came from the bell tower of Blackberry School, Township District #9, a school that existed from 1906 to 1938 at the present site of Blackberry Corners Tavern on the corner of Route 579 and Elliston-Trowbridge Road. It was rung to call students into school in the morning, at the end of lunch, and at dismissal, and older boys were often given the privilege of ringing it for the teacher.
