Rose Hill Manor was the last home of Governor Thomas Johnson, a delegate to the Continental Congress from 1774 to 1775, the first Governor of Maryland from 1777 to 1779, and an Associate Justice of the US Supreme Court from 1792 to 1793. It was originally dedicated in 1948 by the Frederick Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and rededicated on the 1st day of November 2014.
