Imperial Valley Veterans' Memorial honors those who served the United States in wartime. Erected on May 30, 1941, by the Veteran's Memorial Housing Committee with representatives of the County Board of Supervisors, veterans of the war with Spain, and veterans of the World War, it includes an memorial poem by J. Maxwell Grafton calling for the nation to honor the patriots who died and to guard the liberty purchased by their blood. A Revolutionary War memorial placed by the Desert Palm Chapter, DAR, honors veterans of the American Revolution from Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Georgia, New Jersey, and Virginia. A memorial dedicated on November 11, 1983, honors all who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam and pays tribute to Imperial County's fallen heroes of World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War by naming them individually.
