This large two-story building was built in the late 1880's by O.C. Sharp to house his dry goods store with an opera house upstairs. Circa 1910 the front was changed to the yellow bricks seen today. Sharp remained in the dry goods and clothing business until his death in the 1920's. The Thweatt Brothers continued this business, followed by the Black and White Store and Shainburgs. In 2013 it underwent a restoration to become the Opera House Event Hall.
