The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center in Indianola, Mississippi, is dedicated to B.B. King and the broader musical culture of the Mississippi Delta. Opened in 2008, it presents King’s life and career within the larger social history of the Delta, linking the blues to place, community, and the conditions that shaped it. Its exhibits include King’s artifacts, memorabilia, interactive displays, and a restored cotton gin where he worked in the 1940s, while also exploring other Delta musicians, the Jim Crow era, the Civil Rights Movement, and regional traditions. Since 2015, it has also served as King’s burial site and a place of remembrance.
