Two Buttes is a distinctive dual-peaked mountain in southeastern Colorado, in Prowers County near the Baca County line. Rising from the otherwise level Great Plains, its two summits are visible for miles and form a prominent landmark on the horizon. The buttes are the highest point in Prowers County, with their tops standing about 300 feet above the surrounding plains. The south peak is about 30 feet higher than the north, and the two are joined by a saddle. The peaks stand on private land just north of the Two Buttes Reservoir State Wildlife Area, while the town of Two Buttes lies to the south in Baca County.
