The original Chowchilla Union High School cost approximately $50,000 and was accredited to a university. On September 11, 1916, 14 students presented themselves at the opening of Chowchilla Union High School in first and second year courses. The structure was later demolished in 1976. It is dedicated to all who attended and served Chowchilla Union High School.
