Shields' Mill Covered Bridge, also known as the Shieldstown Covered Bridge, spans the White River in Jackson County, Indiana, between Brownstown and Hamilton townships. Built in 1876, it is a two-span wooden bridge using a multiple kingpost Burr Arch Truss design and rests on cut limestone piers and abutments. At 365 feet, 6 inches long, it is a notably long surviving example of its type in the area. Closed to traffic in 1970 as older covered bridges became unsuited to modern vehicle loads, it remained a local landmark. Its historic importance was recognized with National Register listing in 2016, and restoration in 2019 preserved it.
