“B” Street was the working man's social center from 1933-1939 during the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam, known for dance halls, boardwalks, taxi dancers, muddy streets, gambling, dance music, ladies-of-the-evening, bright lights, boxing, bars, construction stiffs, and no empty parking spaces even at 4:00 a.m., and was considered the greatest boom town entertainment street ever.
