Leo Lashomb was Massena Little League's biggest fan, umpiring countless Little League games, investing many hours maintaining and caring for the Springs Park field, and dedicating many hours as president of Massena Little League. In the spring of 1989, he was asked to umpire the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. On July 9, 1993, the Springs Park field was dedicated in his name for his lifelong love and support of Massena Little League. A staple of the community, he lives on in the hearts of many, especially Massena Little League.
