Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens in Akron, Ohio, is a nationally significant estate created between 1912 and 1915 for Goodyear co-founder F. A. Seiberling and his wife, Gertrude. Set on 70 acres of a much larger former property, it centers on a vast Tudor Revival manor house, among the largest homes in the United States, with formal gardens, greenhouses, and recreational grounds. Inspired by English manor houses and shaped by prominent architects and designers, the estate balanced historic style with modern comfort. Donated by the Seiberling children in 1957, it has since been preserved and extensively restored as a nonprofit museum and garden estate.
