On July 25, 2020, this location was dedicated to Jerry Seaman, Citizen Driver. Jerry's driving career started when he was just 12 years old, delivering goods from farm to market. His distinguished 48 year career includes over 5 million accident free miles. Jerry is well respected in the trucking industry for leading by example. Whether he is helping with a disabled truck on the road, inspecting equipment or working with software in the office, he was a born leader that everyone naturally looks to for guidance. Though humble about his accomplishments, he is more than willing to share his vast knowledge and seeks opportunities to do so. He enjoys mentoring other professional drivers as well as teens attending driver education classes. Jerry takes pride in what he does and is committed to making a positive difference, both in and out of the trucking industry. He is especially devoted to working with the Special Olympics and has been involved with the South Dakota Convoy for Special Olympics since its inception in 2002. The Citizen Driver program was developed to celebrate the best of the best in the trucking industry. This honor recognizes drivers who earn public respect for the industry through good citizenship, safety, community involvement, health and wellness and leadership.
