Fort Pickering Light, also known as Winter Island Light, stands on Winter Island in Salem, Massachusetts. Built in 1871, it served mariners as a navigational light until the Coast Guard discontinued it in 1969. In 1983, the City of Salem returned it to service by relighting it as a private aid to navigation. The lighthouse is also part of the Winter Island Historic District and Archeological District, recognized on the National Register of Historic Places on April 14, 1994.
