Discovery Ski Area is an alpine ski destination in southwestern Montana near Georgetown Lake, along Montana Highway 1 on the west side of the Continental Divide in the Beaverhead–Deerlodge National Forest. Located on Rumsey and Jubilee mountains, it spans four faces and offers terrain ranging from beginner groomed runs to expert bowl skiing. Seven lifts support downhill, Telemark, and cross-country skiing. With a base elevation just above 6,000 feet, it is known for a season that often starts early and can last late, sometimes keeping lifts running into early April, with operations typically beginning on weekends before expanding as winter progresses.
